Although we can’t agree in all aspects of other religions, our similarities far outweigh our differences, often suggesting that thousands of years ago, we had the same source, but that over time, the meandering intentions of humans for the purpose of personal or political gain, moved scripture by the pen.
A Massachusetts resident sent us a wonderful letter and he included a beautiful card with his favorite verse of the Quran. We found the verse so poignant to our mission of Enjoining Good that we decided to include it here to better explain why we reach out to those of other faiths. We are different only to allow us to know one another for once we do, we no longer fear one another. Thank you Simon for the kind words.
O mankind! We created you from a single soul, male and female, and made you into nations and tribes, so that we may know one another. Truly, the most honored of you in God’s sight is the greatest of you in piety. God is all-knowing, all-aware. Quran, 49:13
To all who are interested in celebrating our similarities or in gaining an understanding of what it means for us to truly submit to God, we can setup talks, presentations, and panel discussions at your place of worship, library, or other locations. We are happy to work with churches, synagogues, temples, schools and other organizations. Don’t worry, we won’t preach to you, or try to convert you. Our intention is not to take you away from your chosen religion….just to answer questions you have about us and how we worship… or at least are supposed to. Remember, culture of some doesn’t reflect on what Islam actually preaches.
There are alot of missconseptions about Islam.
Please reach out to us to learn more, we’d love to hear from you.
